Paintings & Prints
I have always made paintings, but moved away from this area while I was studying, instead choosing printmaking as my minor subject. It was fairly recently that I rediscovered my love of making images. Over the past 3 years I have been lucky enough to sell a number of my prints and paintings including mixed media work and have been commissioned to make work for a number of clients. Attending workshops has helped me to re-engage with printmaking techniques, collagraphy is a particular favourite of mine, maybe due to the fact that the printing plates are very sculptural in the making and in their appearance. As with everything that I make, I am continually on the look out for new challenges and different mediums to try out. One of the most challenging mediums that I have explored recently has been egg tempera, take a look at my miniature paintings of birds and the ornately framed paintings of hawks and let me know what you think.

I started a little group a few years ago when our local library became a Community Library. It’s called Knot, Knit & Natter. It’s every 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month 10am - 12pm. You don’t have to pay and you don’t have to knit! It’s open to everyone, just bring a project, or just bring yourself! There was a great article recently on @bbcradio4 about loneliness and how it is on the increase, little groups like this one are so helpful in getting people out of their home to spend a couple of hours in warm friendly space where there is no pressure to do anything but ‘be’. Everyone is welcome and our next gathering is on Tuesday at Kinver Community Library. We are a very friendly bunch! 😊#community #dontbelonely #textiles #craft #friendship #bbcradio4
