There’s always one

Cast in iron during workshops at the Museum of Steel Sculpture. This piece was made by carving a resin sand block into a large oval shape then adding the straps in wax, I inserted the hand made nails into the wax then made a mould around the piece. The wax was burned out and the iron was poured in. I gilded one of the nails with 24C gold.
